Description
This stage is one of the toughest stages of the Uganda Cycling Trail as you are climbing the slopes of Mount Elgon all the way to Sipi Falls. The route starts with a relatively easy climb on wide unpaved roads and is quickly followed by a flat section. The real fireworks start around the 49 kilometer point where you will cycle a 700m+ climb on tarmac, one of the longest continuous ascents in Uganda. But when you finally reach your destination, the view is more than worth it! Sipi Falls is one of these beautiful sites in Uganda with such amazing breathtaking sceneries, overlooking the Karamoja region.
