We live for the nature
The Uganda Cycling Trail is an amazing cycling route of 1580km, on mostly unpaved roads. It crosses the country from the extreme southwest to the far northeastern corner offering the best cultural and natural highlights that Uganda has to offer. The route traverses through the green
hills of Bwindi and Kisoro, passes through several National Parks that are home to extraordinary wildlife, crosses the mighty river Nile and Lake Victoria, climbs the slopes of Mount Elgon and goes deep into Karamoja where the authentic nomadic culture is still present.
HOW TO USE THE TRAIL
CREATION OF THE TRAIL
The Uganda Cycling Trail was initiated by Red Dirt Uganda as part of an Adventure Tourism Uganda project that was funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency. In collaboration with EyeOpenerWorks and Kara-Tunga the trail was further developed and tested.
